Hello Potential Volunteers!
Hull's Drive-in is a community owned and operated 501(c)(3) non-profit that operates on a shoe-string budget. As such, we rely heavily on community members who are also committed to helping us make every night of our season a night to remember for all of our valued Customers. Without the support of volunteers, we couldn't do what we do at Hull's.

What do Volunteers do?
Snow Cone Making
This is a task-oriented function. It is important that every concession worker learn from their Concessions Leader. This position prepares snow cones for Customers who order them. Training and an apron will be provided.
Outpost
This is first and foremost a customer-facing function. Outpost workers are responsible for assuring Customer Satisfaction. It is in an Outpost worker’s power to define a customer’s impression of an evening at Hull’s Drive-In – whether exceptional, merely good, or bad.
-
Assist in setting up the Outpost, (windows, apparel, etc)
-
Take Customer orders for food, beverage, merchandise, and FM radios into the Point-of-Sale (PoS) system.
-
Process payments (eg. cash, credit card, and Apple Pay)
-
Fulfill any Outpost items (bottled soda, apparel, FM radios) in Customer orders
Orders Out
This role requires “hustle.” Orders are to be picked-up and promptly delivered to the Pick-up Table. An Orders Out volunteer will spend the evening briskly walking back-and-forth.
-
Carry customer order to the pickup table outdoors.
-
Call the Customer Name loudly and clearly to indicate an order is ready for pickup. It may be necessary to do this more than once if an order is not promptly claimed.
-
If an item that has been ordered is missing or incorrect, promptly coordinate satisfactory resolution with the Concessions Leader.
-
Frequently monitor condiments and utensils, alerting the Paid Staff if items need to be replenished.
